Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on, smart, dedicated, experienced, results-oriented Diversity, Equity and Inclusion/Culture Lead to increase workforce diversity and to drive a culture where all belong and can accomplish their full potential.
This is a new role and therefore new space for SquareTrade, however we have a small yet passionate and mighty DEI committee who have begun to build a foundation and need a dedicated leader. You’ll be an integral part of the Human Resources team focusing on incorporating DEI strategies into all facets of the department, including but not limited to: compensation, recruiting, employee relations, and employee development. Reporting directly to the Vice President of People, this role will act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor for the HR team as well as the entire organization. We expect you to have exceptional project management, communication, and leadership skills. We need you to be a problem solver who is creative in conceptualizing and defining innovative opportunities. This is a highly visible role with a huge impact.

To have a DEI leader who:
Creates psychological safety and trust
Procures and manages external suppliers and consultants related to DEI
Manages steward program and dialogue space (stewards do not report directly to DEI Lead)
Build out a People Analytics Program
Tap into previously unused talent pools for recruiting (i.e, manage internship program)
Design organization commitment statement and 3-year DEI strategy in collaboration with organization and works on defining where the organization currently is within the anti-racism continuum framework, where it would strive to be at the end of the next 3 years, and identify the specific org-wide measures that will be used to assess progress.
Create innovative sourcing and attraction strategies that engage, support and drive hiring outcomes from underrepresented backgrounds. Work closely with Recruiting & Hiring Managers to develop aspirational representation goals for our inclusion recruiting efforts, track against these goals and report out on progress, opportunities, and suggested strategy changes to key business stakeholders
Collaborate across the HR function to develop and deliver a truly inclusive and equitable retention and promotion process that provides a world-class employee experience that enhances the diverse representation of our teams.
Use people-related data to drive better decision-making and develop key metrics to measure employee performance, engagement, and retention.
Work with the HR team to build an incredible employee experience from hiring to onboarding, engagement, and ongoing development
Plan and execute culture events company-wide to bring the team together
Support the development, activities, and initiatives of SquareTrade’s employee-run Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
Develop and co-facilitate innovative diversity training/presentations in partnership with external vendors
Partner closely with key stakeholders to align inclusion compensation programs with overall company and DEIB goals
Supports executive communications on Inclusion topics
Qualifications

Passionate and deep experience developing and co-facilitating diversity programs and culture initiatives
Strategic and innovative thinking combined with the ability to persuade, influence, and inspire confidence in others
Ability to demonstrate the use of data/analytics to track and measure progress towards successful execution of strategy
Fluent understanding of cultural, psychological, and social issues surrounding DEI and a firm understanding of industry best practices
Ability to demonstrate creative and innovative thought and strategy design
Strong project management, administrative, organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills
Ability to treat sensitive information confidentially and maintain complete confidentiality as required
