We're ManagedLab Services, and we're seeking an individual who possesses a professional attitude, the ability to use technology and systems, demonstrable experience as a hard worker, but most importantly a great customer service mindset. Lab experience preferred but is not required.
The Lab Assistant role is an entry-level support position within the Lab Services Division. Work is primarily routine and SOP-driven; no experimental analysis or research work is performed. Typical assignments are focused on operational lab tasks such as glass wash, autoclaving, cleaning, instrumentation startup, inventory stocking/consumables management, and waste consolidation. An ideal candidate will have a familiarity with biotech/pharma lab support routines, experience working in small teams, anda professional mindset with great customer service skills.
We are seeking an individual for a full-time (40 hour/week), Non-Exempt, Hourly lab support position. This position is based in the 92121zip code and may take place at one or multiple job sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking a candidate to perform general lab support duties which primarily include, but are not limited to:
Ensuring relevant labware, consumables, supplies, and areas are properly cleaned, sterilized, maintained, and stocked through use of appropriate equipment and processes
Performing hazardous waste consolidation routines via specified processes as needed
Assisting with the ordering and stock integrity of lab supplies through inventory management, procurement, and receiving processes and systems
Interacting and supporting in-scope service requests byresearch and operations personnel as directed
Understanding operational laboratory workflows and successfully balancing and prioritizing routines tasks and ad-hoc work
Facilitating shipping and receiving documentation routines of lab samples and supplies
Performing work process documentation, metrics tracking, and communication routines
Additional support-level tasks as necessary

High School Diploma/G.E.D.
Customer Service skills experience
Familiarity with the industrial R&D laboratory environment preferred; academic experience acceptable
Proficient with the Microsoft ecosystem (Windows, Office, Office 365, etc.)
Physical Requirements:Significant standing, walking, moving, carrying, bending, kneeling, reaching, and handling, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to move and lift boxes up to 50lbs and carry short distances

Employment Requirements
Legally allowed to work in California
Scheduling: 40 hours/week. Approximately 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday - FridayAvailability between 7 AM to 6 PM required
On-call/after-hours work as necessary
Valid Driver's License. Personal transportation required as work may involve transit between work sites.

Must pass pre-employment background checks includinga driving record check and drug screen

Compensation
Estimated starting salary is $16.50/hr. Future salary and title adjustmentswill be regularly evaluated and commensurate with merit, additional skills, additional responsibilities, and time in the role.
