Facilities Supervisor

Job Purpose: Supervises and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment for medical campus.

Duties:

- Oversees contractors and skilled trades that install, inspect, repair, and maintain building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, solar, and waste management.

- Negotiates contracts with contractors and skilled trades to assure work is performed on time, within budget, and with sufficient work warranties.

- Tracks facilities service requests and ensures requests are completed within established timelines and quality standards.

- Schedules and ensures completion of preventative maintenance.

- Maintains a safe and effective working environment.

- Makes day-to-day decisions regarding the medical campus facilities.

- Supervises Day Porter staff and keeps them trained on policies and procedures, recommend personnel actions, and provide the tools for their job success.

Skills/qualifications: - 3-5 years similar experience. Basic typing, math, accurate spelling and grammar, working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

The successful candidate will be able to change course as the strategies of the company expand. The successful candidate will also be a problem solver, show attention to detail, have the ability to predict next steps, and maintain an organized system that assures all work is complete on time.

Work Environment: This is a professional medical campus and the ability to interact with medical professionals is just as important as being able to interact with the skilled trades. The campus is open on weekdays but occasional weekend hours may be required depending on the state of the facilities. This position is expected to work approximately twenty hours per week on a regular basis. This is an hourly position, eligible for overtime.
