PASTRY COOK - CON PANE

The Cohn Restaurant Group is reopening Con Pane Rustic Breads & Café, a fast casual, from scratch bakery located in Liberty Station and specializing in traditional artisan breads, rustic pastries and a bread-centric café menu.

We are looking for Pastry Cooks who are passionate about creating high quality, unique pastries and can work quickly and cleanly to produce the best pastries in San Diego.

Responsibilities include following daily production schedules, scaling, mixing, preparation/shaping, baking and finishing brioche based pastries, scones, quick breads, cookies, granola, glazes and holiday specialties from scratch using high quality ingredients in a high-volume production environment.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

A minimum of one year of professional pastry experience required.

Able to work in a team environment as well as independently.

Able to follow verbal and written instructions, formulas and production schedules.

Able to follow company policies, procedures and sanitation and cleaning guidelines.

A positive attitude, a desire to learn and ability to rise to challenges.

Clean and organized working habits with attention to detail and focus.

Approach work with a sense of urgency while maintaining quality standards.

Able to stand for long periods of time, bend, and lift 25 lbs.

You must have open availability, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, and the flexibility to adjust hours and/or work days as needed.

Shifts starting at 4:00AM and 6:00AM
