Database Architect - San Diego, CA - up to $140k

A company that enables the development of drug therapies, diagnostics, and novel vaccines is looking for a Database Architect. The architecture is critical to the business intelligence platform and will help the visualization layer developed using Tableau.

Responsibilities

Extracting, loading, and transforming data from different data sources into a centralized data warehouse in Snowflake
Own the extraction, load, and transform (ELT) process
Review queries and optimize them for performance
Work hand in hand with the data visualization team to create Tableau reports; Work with the business systems owners
Troubleshoot data issues in the ELT pipeline

Qualifications

Min. 2 years of Snowflake experience
Min. 5 years of data warehouse experience (ETL and ELT processes)
Experience in normalization/query optimization/data structures/database design
Experience with one or more programming languages (Python, R), Object-Oriented Concepts
Experience with shell scripting (or comparable)
Authorized to work in the US
