The Scripps MD Anderson Center in Hillcrest has 20 infusion chairs and offering optimal patient-centered care. Join Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego as Supervisor, Patient Care RN – Infusion Center where you will manage direct reports. Duties include scheduling, occurrence report investigation and follow up, cipher call discharge patient follow up, service recovery, performance improvement coaching and education. Also working on the unit as the charge nurse or in the resource nurse role when needed providing direct patient care.Additionally, you will ensure nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety. Under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager, shares leadership responsibilities for the nursing unit, including managing daily staffing plans. Ensure the safe transition of patients through the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care.This is a Salaried, Day shift position located in Hillcrest.Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: Two years applicable clinical experience, one of which in a leadership role.

Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.

Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.

Graduate of an accredited program.

Required Certification/Registration: Maintains current California RN license.

Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider and all competencies/certifications required of the charge RN on the unit.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: RN experience in Oncology and Oncology Certified.

Clinical leadership experience in an Infusion Center preferred.

BSN and/or certification in area of specialty if applicable.
