Analyzes PRD, ERD and SRS to design programs and procedures to test product applications, embedded firmware and product operational electrical and mechanical systems. Code may be used for in house test fixtures as well as in commercial or end-user test instruments. Using current programming languages and technologies, writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications. Completes documentation and procedures for system development, and compliance with quality management system. Responsibilities:Will perform some or all of the following: Work closely with the engineering team to help ensure that software/hardware requirements are testable Work closely with the product development team to help ensure that software and system test plans meet project objectives Ensure that product development team is capable of recreating failure modes as detected during testing. Maintain test code using version control Document and maintain test results Utilize development tools like Jira to post defects for development team for triage and future remediation Develop automated test procedures to verify software and hardware meets requirements Manage, maintain, and enhance current test software code and scripts Implement test software for prototype hardware Provide regular test status updates to the product integration team Demonstrate commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness of Sekisui Diagnostics' Quality Management System per ISO, FDA, and other regulatory agencies Understand regulatory consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their test responsibilities Carry out duties in compliance with established business policies Additional duties, as assignedAdditional Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in new product development including PCB board development and test. Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, CE or related degree with 5+ years of experience as an embedded software test engineer, electrical engineer or related At least 2+ years of experience testing medical device systems and software (lnvitro Diagnostic instrument experience strongly preferred)Skills: Strong proficiency with one or more of C/C, Python, Perl, LUA, Experience creating automation frameworks and test automation using tools such as Selenium, Selenium Grid, Cucumber,… Experience with product development from early-stage commercialization and field upgrades In depth understanding of hardware/software interactions in real time embedded systems Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly convey ideas to co-workers and management Effective in creating and executing automated tests in a fast-paced multi-function team environment Ability to read schematics, experience with logic analyzers, oscilloscopes.Experience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout Actalent: Actalent connects passion with purpose.
