Job Description

Chromalloy San Diego is looking for a motivated individual to work as an engine mechanic apprentice and perform a variety of duties during a four-month internship. Work hours are typically 6:00 am – 2:30 pm Monday through Friday. The incumbent will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under the FAA Anti-Drug and Alcohol Program.

The incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. They are:

  • Gather and compile necessary tools and equipment necessary, per guidelines, for daily work in a timely manner.
  • Support engine mechanics requests and workload.
  • Perform basic mechanicwork, which includes assembling routine tool aids.
  • Identifying and reading technical manuals.
  • Must maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • To be considered, you must have completed or be in the process of completing appropriate degrees/certifications or licensesto perform the essential functions of this position.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read, interpret technical manuals and anticipate needed tools and activities to support the next operation insequence.
  • Ability to learn engine shop routine and assimilate into the work team.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
