Sales Associate

Local family owned appliance and parts store is seeking a reliable and motivated Customer Service Sales Associate to join our team. We sell both new and used appliances at reasonable prices to the community. We also, have a specialized team of applicance technicians that will assess if an appliance can be repaired or if a replacement is necessary whichever is in the best interest of our customers.

Key Responsibilities :

Engage customers in a courteous, helpful, and respectful manner, promptly and politely respond to customer inquiries and customer requests for service calls.

Ability to multi-task between customers calling in and those that walk-in for assistance.

Escort customer to the appropriate area of the store while explaining the basic features of item they are inquiring about

Organize, restock and straighten appliance areas on the sales floor daily

Order parts and applicances from both the warehouse and our trusted partners

Offer customers additional products and services (example: extended warranties or add-ons if applicable)

Process all purchases through the register, enter all warranties and file accordingly

Following opening and closing procedures

Education/Experience/Qualifications :

High School diploma or equivalent

1 year of retail experience desired

Basic knowlegde of Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook computer systems

Use of email, scanner, printer, copier and multi-line phone system

Ability to safely and easily lift 50lbs

Effective communication and customer service skills

Hours and Compensation

FT/PT - Flexible schedule between the hours of 9am to 530pm Monday through Saturday. Hourly pay of 13.00 to 16.00 depending on experience.
