Female Part Time Caregiver Needed

Hello,

We are looking for someone to come Monday through Friday from 2-6pm as well as Saturday + Sunday from 8am to 5pm to help my mother with daily living tasks of her daily routine such as showering, medication administration, light housekeeping and meal preparation. We have hired someone for Monday through Friday from 8am to 1pm. We are in the process of getting her approved for IHSS services through the county so this job could become permanent with more hours. For now we need to hire a caregiver to help her while we wait to be approved. She moved to a condo in Citrus Heights on January 4th from a board and care in Los Angeles. She has Schizoeffective Disorder but is a very sweet lady. So she has some odd thoughts and ideas, including paranoia about people saying mean things to her but is easily re-directable especially by someone who is caring and sweet towards her. She is overweight and recently had a knee replacement which makes showering and mobility an issue for her at the moment. She has a southern accent and loves to socialize. She has a roommate who has a service dog, so you must be comfortable with a dog. My mother smokes cigarettes outside, so you must be okay with that as well. You must have your own transportation. Must be comfortable helping her shower. Pay is between $12 and $14 an hours depending on experience.

We want someone who who is personable and friendly, who has reliable transportation and who would be willing to taker her out and about on the town, to run errands and Dr. Appointments.

Since you will be spending so much time together, it’s important that you guys can become friends of sorts and also go out and about in the community (Covid permitting).
