The X-Ray tech is responsible for performing a variety of X-Rays NOT to include CT or MRI's only X-rays.

Responsibilities and Duties:

We are a very BUSY orthopedic office. We can see up to 113 patients in a day. Our technician needs to be able to perform the duties of a Receptionist/ Medical assistant also. We do about 85% Workers Compensation. The MA rooms patients put in requests for RFA's for CT, MRI, office injections, and other authorizations as needed along with following up on getting the RFA's back and approved, getting testing results, keeping rooms clean and stocked, and working as a team with other MA's. The Receptionist answers phones, makes new patient appointments, checks patients in and out.

Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication that is clear, well-organized, and demonstrates an understanding of audience needs. Utilizes genuine and positive communication to, make each patient feel informed, understood, and special.

Perform accurate x-rays as ordered by the Provider while practicing radiation safety precautions to include ALARA.

Qualifications and Skills:

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification for Radiography is required
