Veterinary Assistant

Job requirements: At least one year experience in a veterinary hospital as a veterinary assistant is required, however, we are willing to train the right person. You must be a quick learner and have a strong work ethic. Minimum age requirement of 18yrs old. A background check and drug testing will be required. All staff members are cross-trained, so your duties will include (but not limited to) placing IV catheters, assisting in surgery, blood draws, autoclaving, restraining animals, taking X-rays, answering the phone, scheduling appointments, and checking clients in/out. Experience with Cornerstone is a definite plus. This position does involve lifting - potentially up to 60#. Must be fully vaccinated against Covid 19.

The position will be appx 32 hours per week, Monday thru Thursday 8am-5:30pm, subject to change/may require Friday's and Saturday's at some point.

Personal leave is available after 3 months probation. Hourly wage will depend on experience ($13-15/hr)
