Field Superintendent

The JB Steel, Inc. team is looking for a Superintendent

Who we’re looking for:

The Superintendent is responsible for reviewing and directing crew members at site installations in accordance with the company's policy requirements as well as the customer’s specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in the commercial construction industry, understanding of the specific quality control issues inherent to construction sites, and knowledge in building facilities.

The Site Superintendent must be thorough and observant with an eye for detail. He/she must fully understand requirements and have a results-driven approach to achieving high quality.

Your workday might look like this:

Daily field management of field personnel, subcontractors and suppliers

Implementation of the safety plan

Daily field reports

Project cost control and scheduling

Interact and collaborate with the Owner and Architect

Coordinate inspections

Project close-out (punch list, occupancy and final acceptance)

You need to have:

10+ years proven experience in construction industry

Experience supervising self-perform work preferred

Ability to communicate effectively

Ability to travel to out of town jobs

OSHA-30 training

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Proficiency with general computer skills, outstanding communication, organizational and leadership skills and the ability to communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce.

We work Monday through Fridays and overtime if needed.
