Field Metal Building Erector Foreman

The JB Steel, Inc. team is looking for a Metal Building Foreman.

Who we’re looking for:

We are a commercial contractor located in Medford, OR. Metal Buildings are our specialty, and we are looking for a metal building Foreman with experience erecting Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings. The Foreman is responsible for reviewing and directing crew members at site installations in accordance with the company's policy requirements as well as the customer’s specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in the commercial construction industry, understanding of the specific quality control issues inherent to construction sites, and knowledge in building facilities. The Foreman must be thorough and observant with an eye for detail. He/she must fully understand requirements and have a results-driven approach to achieving high quality.

Your workday might look like this:

Daily field management of field personnel

Daily field reports

Rig, hoist and move metallic items within the work area

Use cranes and telehandlers to hoist and position metal components into place

Cut and weld metal sections using metal shears, torches, and welding equipment

Implementation of the safety plan

Assemble hoisting equipment or rigging, including cables, pulleys and hooks

You need to have:

10+ years proven experience in construction industry

Metal Building Installation Experience

Ability to communicate effectively with team

Ability to travel to out of town jobs

Reliable transportation to get to and from job sites

OSHA 10 or 30 a plus

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Proficiency with general computer skills, outstanding communication, organizational and leadership skills and the ability to communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce.

We work Monday through Fridays and overtime if needed.
