Job Summary

The Parts Counter Person represents the Parts Department by selling the needed parts and accessories to retail customers, wholesale customers, and service department technicians in an efficient and timely manner.

Responsibilities and Duties

Job Duties:

Pull purchased parts from inventory for customers and technicians

Determine availability, create parts requisition, and submit order as required for non-stock parts.

Answers phone calls, providing information and prices to customers

Respond in a timely fashion to all parts inquires via email and ecommerce.

Assist walk-in customers in correctly selling the required parts and suggested related companion parts

Assist in invoicing and shipping for ecommerce business

Process and organize orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.

Takes phone parts orders by following all procedures and documenting all required information

Receives and ships parts in accordance with company policies

Ensures all cash, credit, charge, purchase order, invoice and tax exempt sales are processes in accordance with company policies and accompanied by required documents.

Replenishes assigned inventory daily

Ensures that all parts returns are properly tagged for organizational efficiency

Conducts daily perpetual inventory control activities and audits

Delivers parts as requested

Completes all documents, forms, and reports in accordance with company policy

Ensures that the work areas and customer waiting area are kept clean

Attends training on request

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

Desire to be the best at your craft

2 + Years auto parts experience (Ford and Dodge a plus)

Ability to work in a process driven environment

18 Years of Age or Older

Agility to bend to floor-level shelves and reach to upper shelves (eight feet) with use of stool or ladder when necessary

Strength to lift 50 lbs of merchandise

Clear speaking and attentive listening skills

ADP/CDK/UCS/DEALERTRACK experience

Must be neat & clean in appearance, have a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and pass a pre-employment drug screening.
