Shasta County industrial supplier seeks enthusiastic Store Assistant for potentially long term position!

Position Overview: Knowledge of metal, construction, hardware, steel, fabrication.

Sales and great customer service skills required: work with customers to fill custom orders, shipping/receiving.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Answers questions and assists customer in selection of materials and supplies

Writes sales orders and prints shipping paperwork

Processes multiple forms of payment, including split payments for sales orders

Packages material for shipment by will-call, truck, or common carrier

Stocks shelves, and labels material appropriately for sale or warehousing

Loading purchased materials into customer's vehicle

New products display

Straightens materials on display to maintain safe, orderly and clean conditions in sales areas

Covers exposed materials, when required, to prevent weather damage

Counts materials and records totals on inventory sheets

Receives stock

Sweeps and cleans store interior and exterior

Performs opening and closing duties, including counting till and preparing daily deposits

Operates light powered fabrication and material handling equipment

Resume & Drug Screen required.
