Skidder Operator

Crane Mills has an opening on their logging crew for an experienced Skidder Operator or an experienced equipment operator in some other field. An applicant with knowledge of logging equipment and the work environment with equipment skills would also qualify.

The operator should be familiar with all equipment on a logging site including operating a chainsaw and setting chokers. Operators are from time-to-time required to perform manual labor tasks as part of their work activities such as; working on the landing, clearing brush, greasing and fueling equipment, changing tires, and other minor repairs and maintenance.

This position is fulltime seasonal. You will work as part of the logging crew that is comprised of a supervisor and five other operators. The crew works 10-12 hours a day, occasionally six days a week.
