Work you'll do- Provide subject-matter expertise in a wide range of duties directly related to grant management, and project formulation of the Stafford Act programs.
- Provide reconciliation, and accounting support and compile supporting documentation.
- Review supporting documentation for the grants to ensure that each sub recipient receives appropriate reimbursement for approved, federally funded programs.
- Provide guidance, oversight, and general assistance to sub recipients in preparing documentation, invoices, and information to request reimbursement for approved, federally funded programs.
- Ensure compliance with laws, rules and regulation including 2CFR and Public Assistance policies and procedures.
- Monitors the progress of each assigned sub recipient or project to ensure that all federal and state grant requirements are met and that project files are obligated in a timely manner.
- Identify damages, develop preliminary estimates and provide support documentation for client's Public Assistance claim.
- Conduct site inspections as needed to develop damage assessments or at the request of State or Federal partners.
- Determine logical grouping of damage sites.
- Develop detailed site-specific damage description.
- Monitor project completion status and submit accurate quarterly reports and time extension requests as needed.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum 1 year of grants management experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Possess knowledge on the technical aspects of the federal grant program and will be expected to exercise independent judgement in coordination and advice to sub recipients, within the limits of applicable Federal and State statutes, regulations, policies and procedures
- Possess experience working on a state and/or federal grant program
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business, finance, engineering, architecture, construction management, or similar fields
