Cashier Needed - Multiple Shifts Available

Cabazon Food & Food is looking for a Cashier to join our team. We have multiple shifts available including morning, swing, night, and graveyard shifts. The candidates must be willing and able to work well as a team and independently. This position may require the candidate to wear different hats. Some of the duties for cashiering entail: providing good customer service; working with codes for merchandise, handling money, credit cards, refunds, and stocking shelves.

Essential Functions:

Customer service –Greet customers as they enter the location and answer any questions or as needed. Assist the customers with locating various products and resolving complaints as they arise.

Cash handling – Accept money in the form of cash, checks, and credit or debit cards for items purchased. Ensure accurate transactions by balancing the cash register at the beginning and end of the shift. Accept and process all returns or exchanges according to store policy.

Guidelines Individual must be able to follow procedures and guidelines. Must be able to handle food in compliance with safety and sanitation requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma required (or equivalent)

Excellent customer service skills

Excellent verbal communication skills

Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, or scanners

Necessary mathematical skills, as needed to make the change and give refunds

Knowledgeable about the company's products and services and customer-related policies

Be able to lift at least 50 pounds

Serve Safe certified is a plus!

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.

Must be able to stand walk and reach for long durations.
