Foundation 10 is a collection of great food and great people in Palm Springs, California. Cheeky’s, Birba and Alcazar are based in the north end of Palm Springs while Mr. Lyons is the newest addition to the south end. We’re three restaurants and a hotel— and an incomparable experience. F10 Creative is dedicated to Small Farm Food. We use responsibly sourced meats and local produce whenever possible. You can feel the freshness of our dishes, and you’ll come back with a craving for it.

F10 started with Cheeky’s restaurant in 2008. Our goal was to make homemade breakfast just the way we like it: no fuss, bought local, made from scratch. Turns out you like it too, because Cheeky’s now boasts a cult following among locals and visitors alike.

We got the name F10 from adding the 6 + 2 + 2 of our address at 622 north Palm Canyon Drive. 10 is our lucky number and we hope you’ll think we’re a perfect 10. Cheeky’s and Birba share the same property as our hotel Alcazar, so you don’t need to go anywhere else! (Unless of course you crave classic steak done right Mr. Lyons is a short jaunt to the south end of town.)

Job Summary:

Dedicated and energetic Line Cook with a stellar customer service record and an exceptionally good attitude. Adept at multitasking in a high-volume fast-paced work environment. Able to maintain cordial and professional working relationships with other staff supervisors and customers. The line cook will assist the Head Chef in preparing and serving food items in a timely and hygienic manner while following recipes and food presentation specifications.

Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities may include:

Preps food according to the designated station’s prep list.

Executes all kitchen orders according to recipe specifications.

Prepares all ingredients needed for designated station daily, following chef’s prep and par lists

Complies with safety guidelines and minimum age requirements when handling kitchen equipment and utensils.

Follows all portion and quality standards.

Maintains and stocks designated station, freezers, refrigerators and store room with food products daily; follows proper rotation system and notifies chef of any discrepancies or shortages.

Labels and dates all food products in storage and refrigeration areas appropriately.

Ensures all products are stored or disposed of properly at the end of the night

Cleans food preparation equipment and work areas according to health and safety guidelines; cleans counter or tables.

Adheres to all restaurant policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety requirements; communicates any concerns to management.

Communicates with servers in a professional manner regarding customer service.

Performs all closing duties of the kitchen daily as determined by Chef.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
