Service / Install Technician – Coachella Valley

Our Company

MicroCool has recently celebrated its 39th year in the Desert. During that time, we have grown from a simple “misting” manufacturer to a major supplier of humidification and cooling systems, throughout the world. Currently, we export more than half of our production to some 20 countries.

We are seeking a new member for our team of hard-working professionals. Under the direct supervision of our Manager of Technical Services, our new Tech will concentrate on the service and installation of MicroCool Outdoor Cooling systems in the desert region.

The successful candidate will also be trained for supervision and service of industrial Installations and supervision all over North America.

Qualifications

Minimum two (2) years’ experience working within electrical, mechanical or similar fields. In the absence of experience, a certificate of completion from a Community College Technical program will be considered.

Must have a clean California driver’s license and record.

Experience with hand tool use including small power tools.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to think logically when problem solving.

Possess good interpersonal and relationship skills.

Work collectively with other professionals to achieve goals.

Basic computer operation skills.

Must be able to write clearly and succinctly so that documents and communications are easily read by others.

Ability to read, interpret and understand basic drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation and service of new and existing system throughout the Coachella Valley

Factory assembly of MicroCool high pressure water mist pump modules and accessories.

Must possess a strong work ethic and work well in a team scenario. Individual’s quality of work will be above average and always be performed in a safe and careful manner.

Proactive approach with an eye toward areas of improvement. Make constructive suggestions to management.

Individual should have long range goals and aspire ultimately to be in a managerial position.

Notable Required Abilities

Ability to speak, read, comprehend and write in English.

Ability to climb stairs and ladders 12 feet in height.

Ability to lift, push, pull, carry items up to 50 lbs in weight.

Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods of time.

Ability to grip and manually manipulate, often with repetitive motion, items such as, but not limited to, hand tools, pump and motor parts.

Good field of vision including visual depth perception and ability to distinguish colors.

Able to work in demanding physical and inclement weather conditions remembering that the Coachella Valley summer temperatures can be a constant 115 degrees and may soar in excess of 120 degrees for long periods.

Compensation

· Wage will be competitive and commensurate with ability and experience.

· Healthcare coverage for employee, spouse and children after 90 day period.

· Two week paid annual vacation after one year, 3 day sick allowance per year.

· Seven paid holidays annually.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
