Skunk Works is an integral part of Lockheed's Aeronautics business area responsible for advanced systems development including conceptual design and rapid prototyping of clean sheet solutions and improvements and derivatives to existing systems. Candidate will lead production activities and represented workforce to accomplish cost, schedule, and quality objectives in the U-2 aircraft PDM/Flight Operations. Candidate will be responsible to provide a safe work environment and take immediate action to address any unsafe conditions. Implement and enforce importance of FOD, general housekeeping, and 6S Standards. Must be able to work weekends/holidays and support flexible shift scheduling. Must be a US Citizen. This position supports a facility that requires special access. Experience in troubleshooting specific system. maintenance, operational checkouts to include but not limited to electrical and environmental control systems, hydraulics, fuel, power plant, structures, and primary and secondary flight control rigging. Experience with aircraft reassembly procedures. Prior leadership/management experience in a Flight Operations or Manufacturing environment.Desired Skills: Experience in leading represented employees. Previous U-2 Flight Line experience. Previous U-2 Phase Dock experience. Previously held Air Force 7vl or Navy/USMC MOS equivalent. Ability to drive actions to meet or exceed customer satisfaction. Ability to use good judgment and make timely decisions. Strong background working with technical manuals on the U-2 program. Ideal candidate will have leadership experience and have a working knowledge of crew plans and forecasting manpower requirements.
