Job description:

-This position is open to anyone who considers themselves a jack-of-all-trades.

-We are looking for someone who is self-driven and takes the initiative with all tasks.

-This manufacturing company is located in Garden Grove. The company has been in business for over 25 years doing custom outfitting for vans and trucks. The company recently expanded to occupy the entire building and needs the right team to move forward and grow.

Why is this position open? - The owner needs to ensure the front-end is taken care of with a trustworthy team so he can focus on the production side of operations. The current office manager has asked for assistance with general admin and bookkeeping (QuickBooks) and so this opportunity has opened up.

Responsibilities:

-Front-end: customer service and assist the office manager with administrative tasks

-Master the ins and outs of Quickbooks (training will be provided)

-Reconcile accounts

-Take charge of A/R and A/P

-Perform all standard bookkeeping duties

-Be willing to cross-train and assist the team with production orders/invoicing when necessary

Qualifications:

-Familiar and comfortable with Word/Excel

-Typing: 50 WPM with 90% accuracy

-Willing to learn the ins and outs of QuickBooks

-Ideally familiar with the manufacturing process, other accounting software, SAP, Adobe etc

-Ideally 3+ years experience working in an office setting

-Strong attention to details

-Great with problem solving and effective enough to research answers to conceptual questions and utilizing any and all of your resources (i.e. google, YT)

-Ability to work with minimal supervision

-Must have a growth mindset and be able to explain what that means in your own words

HRS Payroll Services:

HRS Payroll Services has had a wonderful, strong working relationship with this company. We do our very best to help the owner with all of his needs. Our agreement is simple: we help get people in the door but that is where our involvement ends with regards to operations. Many companies outsource their payroll to third parties, and fortunately, we were trusted with that by this company. HRS's payroll department runs payroll for everyone at the facility, including the owner. An employee handbook will be provided from the company to help you understand what is expected from you. Furthermore, as of this post, a vacation and holiday schedule has been implemented effective Jan 1, 2019. After your first 90 days, all major holidays will be paid including the week between Dec 25- Jan 1. This on average equates to 11 or 12 paid holiday days per year. Vacation hours are accumulated to equate to about 3.5 days per year. This and other matters will be covered within the handbook.
