Job Description
We are a leading manufacturer and supplier of outdoor fitness equipment in the USA, with a mission of promoting wellness and fighting obesity by creating multi-generational and inclusive outdoor gyms. We are seeking a Production Technician to join our growing team. Our outdoor gyms can be found in public parks, senior centers, hospitals, schools, universities as well as our military bases (domestic and abroad).
Job Summary:
The Production Technician Level 1 performs a range of routine mechanical assembly operations and related tasks, including but not limited to:
Unit assembly
Testing unit functionality to ensure compliance with specifications
Touch-up of parts & units as needed
Prepping and wrapping units for shipping
Building large wooden shipping crates
Additional responsibilities may include deliveries to customers as well as pick-up and drop-off of components from local suppliers
Core Responsibilities:
Performs a range of routine assembly of small to large parts or components in accordance with company instructions and procedures
Reviews shop drawings, or uncomplicated schematic drawings to confirm correct sequence of operation. Must be able to read and follow step-by-step work instructions
Adheres to all safety policies and procedures
Other responsibilities as assigned
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.
May need to work some nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Job Requirements:
Experience in fast-paced production environment with high quality requirements.
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
Experience: 2-3 years of relevant work experience, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment.
Clean DMV record.
Skills:
Good mechanical aptitude
Able to operate a variety of hand power tools and light machinery
Capable of performing basic mathematics
Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedures
Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts
Able to problem-solve and use existing procedures to successfully complete tasks
Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
