Position Title: Human Resources SpecialistDelivery Drivers, Inc.(DDI) Founded in 1996, Delivery Drivers, Inc. With over 25 years of experience in the rapidly growing gig economy means we have the know-how to empower clients across all industries that utilize independent contractors for last-mile deliveries.Location:Centrally located near Irvine, CA between the 5 and 405 freeways. We are currently working remotely and looking to move into a flexible/hybrid model of remote and in-office work.What You’ll Do:

The Human Resource Specialist will assist with all human resources matters, gathering, collecting, and maintaining documents and records required for personnel and policy development, investigations, and negotiations.Responsibilities:

● Handles routine labor relations and human resource inquiries related to policies, procedures; refers complex matters to appropriate management staff.

● Serves as the initial contact and liaison for intake and assessment of employee complaints.

● Conducts initial interviews and gathers information for employee relations matters such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other concerns; informs the Director of HR when additional investigation is required.

● Assists with recordkeeping related to hiring, termination, leave, transfer, and promotion particularly as related to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), affirmative action, diversity initiatives, and FMLA.

● Collects information and data to assess cost and policy implications of negotiations and disputes. This may include pay scales and wages, benefits, working conditions, and other mitigating circumstances.

● Conducts surveys, interviews, and other research related to human resource policies, compensation, and other labor negotiations; collects information and reports results to the Human Resources Director.

● Maintains knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to State, Federal, EEO, affirmative action, labor relations, payroll, 1-9, W-4, and human resources compliance.

● Assists with preparation of plans, policies, documents, and reports including EEO-1, affirmative action plans, organizational charts, labor agreements, and employee handbooks.

● Assist with posting positions and first-round recruiting

● Develop new personnel policies and update existing policies as needed.

● Assist with the development of accurate job descriptions; Update as necessary

● Performs other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

● Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

● Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

● Thorough understanding of laws, regulations, and guidelines related to HR and contract negotiations.

● Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

● Proficient with ADP Workforce softwareEducation and Experience:

● Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business, Accounting, or related field required.

● At least three years of professional human resource administration required with experience in employee relations preferred.

● Strong computer skills including spreadsheet experience required

● Prior experience with an HRIS database preferred.

● SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.

● Ability to research and interpret state and federal payroll & benefit regulations.

● Ability to complete job responsibilities with a minimum of supervision and to exercise a reasonable amount of independent judgment.

● Ability to communicate technical information involving payroll and benefits in a clear and forthright manner, encouraging trust and confidence in the payroll and benefits systems.

● Ability to conduct work relationships in a professional and courteous manner.

● Ability to coordinate efficient performance of numerous unrelated tasks.
