My client, a powerhouse in the sports ticketing arena is partnered with the largest baseball organization in the world. They work together to deliver cutting edge ticketing technology products and services to clients and fans across the world. My client is looking for the best and brightest Senior DevOps Engineers to help build, maintain, and support application deployment and infrastructure automation. This is a high demand role that is moving quickly, and the ideal candidate will have knowledge of CICD principles and know software development inside and out! The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for building, maintaining, and streamlining the automated build and release pipeline, and migrating existing workloads and unlocking acceleration of new development in a multi-cloud environment. The candidate will also help in defining best practices for source control management, creating, and maintaining documentation of the build/release process, and investigating tools and processes to continually improve the reliability, stability, and efficiency of these processes. Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years' experience as a software/system engineer, with at least 2 years working with software builds and deployments
  • Strong knowledge of AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and/or OCI
  • Experience with source code and binary repository management tools, (eg. GIT and Artifactory)
  • Experience with implementing continuous integration/continuous delivery solutions using Jenkins
  • Strong scripting in Python, Ruby, Groovy, or similar languages
  • Experience with Infrastructure orchestration, service registry & discovery, and configuration management tools, (eg. Cloudformation, Terraform, Consul, Ansible/Puppet)
  • Experience with container technologies and platforms (eg. Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, Openshift)

  • APIs and microservices: REST, Web, Graph
  • Real-time log/event monitoring - SolarWinds, Splunk, SumoLogic, OpenTelemetry
  • Secured Application Access and control - Okta SSO and MFA, MS Active Directory
  • Database Solutions - Oracle, MYSQL, MSSQL, CloudSQL
  • Software Development tools - Jira, GIT, Jenkins, ArgoCD
  • Compliance: PCI DSS
What You Will Be Doing
  • Plan for building a sustainable release pipeline, initially focused on ticketing initiatives
  • Configure, manage, and maintain the software lifecycle toolchain spanning build, packaging, and deployment phases
  • Contribute in developing best practices for infrastructure as code, specifically with configuration management and infrastructure orchestration
  • Define, collect, aggregate, and visualize observability logging and metrics that pertain to the build, deploy, and run lifecycle phases with an eye toward addressing and remediating error budgets outside of defined SLOs
