CCS Facility Services is a large provider of facility services. CCS is seeking a quality Human Resource Manager to add to our team. This Human Resource Manager will be housed out of our Costa Mesa office and will have responsibility for a geographic area that includes Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego. Under general supervision of the Director of Corporate Human Resources, the Human Resource Manager will be responsible for providing support for the day-to-day Human Resource operations of CCS Facility Services.

Duties:

Oversee administrative staff including hiring by developing job descriptions, placing ads, reviewing applications, verifying former employment experience, and interviewing candidates as determined by management.

Support daily employee relation activity. Serve as the first point of contact for general employee relations issues, compensation, employee benefits, and company polices, practices and procedures.

Work closely with managers and other executives of the corporation in support of the employee experience from hire to separation.

Provide guidance to management and to line supervisory employees as necessary on issues involving performance management and compliances with internal policies, as well as with all applicable Federal, state and local employment laws.

Implement and employ proper procedures for the handling of conflict and grievances among employees.

Administer various human resources procedures such leave of absence, EDD, and FMLA.

Facilitate ongoing training in human resource issues such as harassment and discrimination and the importance of discipline and consistency in the application of policies

Participate in staff meetings

Participate in and/or lead ad hoc Human Resources projects or report generation as business needs dictate

Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Education and Experience:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in Human Resources within a mid-size organization

Possess and demonstrate a sound knowledge of management-labor relations, Federal and state employment laws and the ability to provide guidance to management in compliance with those requirements

Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with managers and employees

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Ability to resolve conflict in a timely and efficient manner

Ability to make sound independent decisions

Excellent analytical, organizational, follow up and customer services skills

Excellent time and stress management skills

Comfortable with conducting presentations and leading meetings

Must possess leadership skills (such as willingness to take initiative, be a self-starter, be influential and exhibit drive and passion for the job)

Some travel required. (Day trip/visits to branch offices in San Diego, Inland Empire and Los Angeles)

Bilingual Spanish/English Required
