Small Manufacturing Company in Irvine has an immediate opening for an Accounting Manager. Candidates must be available to interview and start immediately. They will manage all aspects of accounting as this is a one person department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee the annual budget and forecasts

Manage/conduct all operations of the Accounting department, including Sales (billing, creation of sales orders in the system), A/R (collections and A/R aging management), A/P (3-way match process, posting & scanning/attaching of invoices in the system, A/P aging management)

Handle biweekly check run ensuring effective cash management techniques to ensure timely cash collection

Produce cash flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash

Produce weekly flash report

Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet

Prepare and post monthly journal entries, account reconciliations (including inventory, fixed assets, prepaids, etc.), and G/L analysis

Prepare and post biweekly payroll entries

Prepare monthly bank reconciliations

Prepare and submit quarterly sales tax

Prepare and submit annual ITAR registration

Manage the PPP loan and forgiveness application

Manage all business-related licenses and renewable contracts

Present ad hoc financial reports to executive committee and partners

Ability to deal effectively with the technical accounting issues that arise

Manage annual external audit

Other duties may be required as needed.

In the absence of receptionist and accounting assistant (temporarily)

Answer and forward incoming calls

Sort incoming mail and distribute to appropriate parties

File organization - must be open to clerical duties (filing, scanning, data entry)

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

5+ years related experience, 2+ years in management role, experience in manufacturing company a plus

Working knowledge of ERP (Global Shop or similar manufacturing system) and detailed experience with QuickBooks

Self-starter and ability to work independently

Intermediate experience with Microsoft Suite, advanced Excel skills
