Please note that this is a contract to hire position. This position reports to the Head of School (HoS) as part of the Administration team and shares responsibility with all staff members for creating a culture of accountability and for taking ownership of the results we achieve as an educational institution. This is a full-time position that includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following responsibilities:

General Responsibilities::• Articulates and represents the mission, goals and policies of the school to prospective families, the educational community, and the community at large.• Greets visitors and callers with warmth and enthusiasm, directing them as necessary and/or dispersing information to appropriate personnel. Answers school phone, directs messages and screens calls for the HoS.• Maintains visitor 's log and records of visitors in Front Office.• Standardizes front office services, policies and procedures.• Maintain the HoS's calendar, travel, and conference registration; and coordinates personnel interviews.• Schedules and sets up internal meetings, including ordering materials and food.• Maintains Board correspondences and memos.• Maintains Community Builder correspondence and memos.• Organizes campus events, such as school coffees and adhoc staff functions• Receives, sorts and delivers mail. Maintains and updates standard letter forms and formats.• Maintain office supplies and ensures that office equipment is in good working order (including copiers).• Maintains a sick bay for students; contacts parents for student pick-up. Attends to minor student health issues in support of teachers. Maintains all-school first aid backpacks.• Maintains student attendance and health records; and matriculation, in conjunction with the Admissions/Communications Manager.• Directly responsible for taking high-quality photographs at all major school and alumni events and to maintain an appropriate photograph library for publications and mailings. Coordinates annual picture day and responds to inquiries related to picture day.• Create weekly announcements from the school for classrooms to send out in weekly News and Notes• Create weekly Newsletter and assist the Admissions/Communications Manager in increasing the social media presence, in collaboration with the Director of Instruction and HoS for content aligns to pedagogy and school culture.• Manage the school grocery ordering for classroom morning and afternoon snack.• Manage the budget and ordering of all food supplies.• Ensure that all classrooms are managing medications appropriately.General Behavior Expectations:• Support children's independent functioning whenever possible.• Maintain a warm, professional, but objective distance in relationships with the children, and a professional relationship and attitude with staff and administration.• Maintain a professional, neat and clean appearance, and a professional and positive attitude with families.• Be punctual and present at work during agreed upon working hours.Days/Hours of Work:• Hours are 8:00am to 5pm during all school, class room preparation and takedown, and in-service days during the designated school year or as outlined in the School Calendar.• Attend staff meetings and recommended training programs and conferences as requested.• Participate in all-school and community events as requested.• Use additional time as necessary to conscientiously carry out the work in this job description.Physical Demands• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or otherwise communicate , hear and observe the children and employees and their surroundings.• The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit; use hands and feet; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.• The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.• Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range.• Fine hand manipulation.• Strong, focused mental acuity is required to efficiently analyze, process, manipulate and accurately record the extensive amount of data and other information that serves as the basis for the primary duties of this position.• Emotional fortitude and ability to regulate emotions and maintain appropriate reactions and responses to emergencies and non-emergency situation s that may arise in the workplace.• Patient and calm demeanor to provide a nurturing learning and working environment.
