Description:We’re searching for a Manager, Marketing Planning & Operations to join the North America Service Business (NASB) at Samsung Electronics America. Responsibilities The Manager, Marketing Planning & Operations will be focused on strategic planning and operations across the Samsung ecosystem of software and services. This individual will partner with business leads to set realistic, measurable marketing goals; develop high impact marketing plans; and effectively manage marketing budgets. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, investment planning, agency management, budgeting, and business operations. This person will have impeccable communication skills and will manage regular communication with HQ and NASB leadership stakeholders. This role reports to the Head of Services Marketing and will work closely with the Product Marketing Leads, Product Managers and broader SEA Marketing Team to constantly improve and optimize our Services Marketing plans and processes. Spearhead annual marketing investment strategy and ongoing operations Manage monthly marketing forecast and performance reporting Deliver weekly strategy recommendations that allow for optimization of marketing channels, communications, and budget Assess, recommend and drive implementation of technology and tools to improve marketing automation and optimize our on and off platform marketing activity Manage marketing agency teams to maximize resource productivity and ensure resources are aligned to priority campaigns or projects Coordinate with cross functional business teams including finance, legal, and procurement Minimum Requirements Experience delivering and executing on strategic recommendations that have driven growth and/or revenue at a large, fast-moving company Strong understanding of data, analytics and testing; with superior ability to turn understanding into actionable insights Deep understanding of software and services marketing best-practices, including knowledge of tools and technology to drive growth and optimization Minimum 1-3 years in strategy function at a high-growth company / companies, preferably in software or services, recommended 3-5 years work experience Desired Skills Outstanding communication skills with ability to deliver concise messages Constant dissatisfaction with the status quo and an infectious desire to push boundaries to drive growth Comfort with ambiguity and continuous change in a fast-paced environment Cross-organizational collaboration with ability to influence without authority A bias for action and the ability to successfully serve multiple constituents and effectively manage one's own time and the time of others Company Information SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS AMERICA BIG THINGS HAPPEN HERE. Need someone to manage agencies, senior enough so people need to know about marketing, contracts, keeping agencies accountable for deliverables. Person who was in this role before was a manager level. o Marketing & finance background – managed agencies, multi-million budgets, comfortable in negotiating – can come up to good compromise with finance – be strategic what does this mean in terms of budget, what did we use last year, what should we do next o What is the percentage of managing budgets/finance and other responsibilities75% finance responsibility, 25% other o Ideal candidate will have handled large marketing budgets (Millions of dollars) and have experience negotiating/renegotiating contracts with agencies to make sure they are getting the best return on their investment o Marketing strategy comes from this team but they lean on roughly 6ish agency’s to execute on the work (things like audience segmentation, website redesign, branding, creative design) o This person would be responsible to ensure that the deliverables they are receiving are worth their investment through monthly recap reports, retainer/value comparisons, and staffing/project scoping o Contracts are renegotiated annuallyExperience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout TEKsystems: We're partners in transformation.
