Senior Marketing WriterRemote

Central Accessibility's mission is to build innovative solutions and ensure our clients products are accessible in order to empower people with disabilities to be socially engaged, productive, and independent. Our resources provide accessibility testers, engineers, developers, writers, PMs, and all other team members with the tools they need to make our products and content accessible.

Initial projects

Internal accessibility standards

Write and maintain accessibility documentation and trainings for our internal accessibility standards

Examples include but are not limited to: identifying tools, tips, and best practices that can be added to documentation, completing audits of libraries and components, creating training materials, facilitating meetings and taking notes, and answering incoming questions and consultations

Accessibility research

Researching new industry assistive technology and accessibility Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) in areas such as Augmented Reality (AR), Auto, Wearables, TV, etc.

Responsibilities

Write and edit documentation and site content that is grammatically correct and strategically sound, with the appropriate tone and voice for the audience and subject matter

Partner with UX researchers and subject matter experts to develop accurate, clear content

Skill/Experience/Education

Mandatory

Bachelor's degree or 5-7 years of equivalent relevant work experience in lieu of degree.

Proven work experience as a technical writer and/or content strategist.

Strong command of the English language.

Experience translating critical user journeys into content strategy. Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.

Desired

Strong familiarity with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards (how to make websites accessible) and assistive technology
