Window Covering Installer

Experienced window covering installer preferred, or someone with the skills required to measure and install. This position is responsible for the measure and installation of blinds, shutters, and shades in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have strong carpentry skills and the ability to positively communicate and work with customers. The installer will measure windows prior to an order, set up a protective work environment for installation, maintain a professional, respectful and customer service focused presence on the job, and a thorough careful clean up when complete.

Essential Functions:

Pick up window coverings at office/warehouse for delivery and install to customers.

Prepare the job site for set up and removal of old window coverings.

Install interior and exterior window coverings (blinds, shades, vertical, shutters, etc.) and perform window measures when required.

Maintain tools and service vehicle in a clean, orderly, and safe operating condition. Immediately inform supervisor of any service needs or safety concerns.

Work cooperatively with co-workers and other departments, communicating both field findings, concerns, and customer satisfaction levels.

Take before and after photos at the job site.

Qualifications for this position include:

Valid driver license and insurance.

Vehicle, preferably a van or pick up, able to transport window covering products.

English required, bi-lingual is a benefit.

Mechanically inclined with the ability to assess and problem solve.

Experience in window covering installation, or related experience in the handyman, carpentry, and/or construction industry.

Proficient with using power tools safely and effectively.

Professional delivery of services with customer care and service a priority.

Attention to detail, organization, and dependability.

Ability to lift and carry large boxes of window coverings.

Ability to install using ladder up to 24 ft.

Flexible workdays and, with prior notice, some weekend days occasionally required.

All jobs are fee based per type of install. A rate chart is provided upon being contracted. Our goal is for a full work week; however, workload will depend on customer demand for install appointments each week.

COVID – 19 Considerations:

Installers must wear a mask during installation. We require customers to do the same. Wash or sanitize hands before entering a job and upon completion. Sanitize all tools and supplies used before and after each job.
