Exciting opportunity with an agriculture organization anticipating growth in 2021. This grower/shipper and value added processor needs to add to their accounting department with someone who understands how the role of inventory is strategic to the flow of the operation. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Inventory Accounting Clerk provides general accounting/finance support to the Company. This position serves as a liaison between external, third-party warehouse locations and the accounting department, communicating regarding transactions daily. Additionally, this person will manage various parts of the inventory system for receiving, reconciliation as it relates to accounting. HIGHLIGHTS OF RESPONSIBILITIES (TO INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

Daily reconciliation of prior business days’ warehouse transactions. Verify for validity and research discrepancies.

Research and correct inventory discrepancies, per warehouse physical counts.

Research and correct customer-reported mis-shipments.

Retain warehouse receiving and shipping documents electronically.

Communicate daily reporting of receiving records to external vendors/growers.

Communicate and reconcile daily reporting of product weights to external vendors/growers.

Aid in implementing new software and creating efficiencies in current processes.

Manage and reconcile pooled tote and pallet programs (currently CHEP and IFCO). Ensure accurate and timely reporting and manage vendor audits.

Communicate with consulting firm regarding packaging and supply usage in regards to sustainability program.

Contribute to creating efficient processes and procedures related to role and responsibilities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills, and education (a combination of these may be considered):

An Associate's degree in business administration or related field, or related education, a plus.

Knowledge of accounting principles.

3 -5 years of prior experience, preferably in an agricultural environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel) and other computer software programs as needed. Famous Software a plus.

Must be able to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.

Team oriented with an ability to work well with others. Must have a solid work ethic.

Attention to detail, good organizational skills, good written and verbal communications skills are critical.

A take-charge attitude with problem solving skills to come up with ways to improve overall efficiencies and problems.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) helpful but not a requirement.
