Our rental fence products include free-standing fence panels, post driven chain link fence, crowd control barricades, privacy windscreen, gates, orange tree protection, sandbags, and silt fence installation.
Rentafence.com is expanding and we are looking for a passionate Accounting Assistant to join our growing team! The Accounting Assistant is responsible for assisting with performing the daily accounting functions of the company, including Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), general ledger and inventory accounting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Essential Job Function
Manage incoming calls and respond to inquiries for estimates and quotes in an expedient manner
Provide prompt, cheerful, professional, and helpful customer service.
Make ongoing outgoing calls to potential leads and take a key role in building our book of business
Develop new customers and follow up
Achieve sales goals by identifying need, analyzing market, and initiating sales plan
Ensure customer and vendor file integrity (documents, communication notations, etc.)
Maintain accuracy of records including the proper posting of customer payments, A/R, A/P, inventory, etc.
Assist with maintaining the office environment, supplies, equipment & IT systems. Maintain inventory of supplies.
Able to set up a QuickBooks Online file: bank accounts, set up online access for downloads, chart of accounts
Understand vendor and customer lists, naming order, clean lists, knows how to match and accept transactions in QBO, split transactions in checks and deposits
Run A/R aging report, contact customers on short/overpays.
Create credits/adjustments invoices
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts quickly and efficiently
Easily spot errors in profit and loss statement and correct them.
Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
A minimum of three years of experience in inside sales or customer service ideally within a building materials contractor and/or retailer environment
A minimum of three years of experience in Accounting
A/R & A/P experience
Strong sales skills to build relationships with potential and existing customers
Experience with QuickBooks
Advanced knowledge of MS office suite of programs.
Ability to learn and understand new software applications.
Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
Superior interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage yourself and assigned tasks effectively.
Bilingual is a plus
