Position Summary:

The Operations/Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the Sanitation Team. This Supervisor is responsible for the training of all sanitation personnel and to ensure that the team works in a safe, responsible manner, and follows all safety guidelines. The Supervisor will ensure that all equipment have Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures in place and that they can be validated. Findings of all environmental monitoring swabs will be reported out to the Corporate Sanitation Director in a timely manner. The Operations/Sanitation Supervisor and Quality Manger will conduct validations to ensure cleaning processes are working. The Operations/Sanitation Supervisor train the sanitation team so that they conform to the required GMP and Safety procedures, follow all verbal and or written instructions of the Land O’Lakes policies, Quality Control, and Management Team requirements.

This position will be accountable for successful production startups and shutdowns. The Operations/Sanitation Supervisor will work with both the Kitchen and Pack Room Lead to ensure all CCP’s are being adhered in accordance with Land O’Lakes requirements. Operations/Sanitation Supervisor will review all Work Orders, to make sure Pack room and Kitchen have issued material and ingredients according to Bill of Material. The Operations/Sanitation Supervisor will instruct all Leads on the shift to report any changes to the normal Work Order procedures. Operations/Sanitation Supervisor will monitor all production lines to ensure all personnel are conforming to the required GMP and Safety procedures. Also, ensure that all associates follow all verbal and or written instructions of the Land O’Lakes policies, Quality Control and Management Staff requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Create a safe working environment / Correct any unsafe conditions, ensure all personnel work in a safe, responsible manner, and follow safety guidelines.

Support and conduct safety trainings/ investigate and report safety incidents.

Ensure that sanitation chemical is used in a safe and efficient manner.

Accountable for daily operations of the Sanitation Team.

Conduct Biweekly sanitation inspections of Fillers, Chillers, Kettles, and Breddos.

Write all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures for all Food Contact equipment.

Update the Master Sanitation Schedule as equipment is added.

Review and sign off on all MSS documents daily, weekly, monthly, and semi-annually.

Review and sign off on Drain Cleaning Weekly (Weekly).

Review and sign off on all Concentration checks daily (Daily).

Report all safety and GMP violations.

Sign off on Facility Clean up tasks (Daily).

Review and sign off on QA Pre-Op Inspections, verify ATP Swabs meet PF-Tolerance levels. (Daily).

Reconcile and review Maintenance Red Tag compliance and sign off.

Plan and schedule equipment Validations during each month submit quarterly report to Corporate

Conduct the Validation with QA Manager to validate cleaning process.

Submit the Validation write up and finding to the Corporate Plant SanEnv Sanitation SSOP Validation folders.

Print, review and update the Pro-Scan service reports folder for Ecolab Pest control (Bi-Monthly).

Submit Quarterly Reports on Sanitation KPI, ATP 1st Time Pass, Monthly Inspections (Quarterly)

Conduct a Quarterly Ecolab Business review (Quarterly).

Review and sign off on the Daily Pre-Op Inspection for Sanitation / Operations start up.

Conduct and participate in safety trainings

Accountable for successful daily production startups and shutdowns.

Support production as needed when it is running on 3rd shift.

Monitor and optimize Filler Line and Pack Room Operations and correct discrepancies as reported

Review all Kitchen Filler, Pack-room and Cook batching completions.

Conduct daily efficiency meeting with Leads and support team, using the OEE Audit program. Look at Uptime and the Downtime, plus five biggest issues for the shift. Monitor and report on department performance.

Ensure all productions lines are staffed correctly and running according to specified Run Rates.

Make sound decisions on operational changes based on the Land O Lakes decision making process model.

Set and adjust employees weekly schedule based on demand.

E-Time: Review, make corrections and approve / disapprove any Attendance Report Form and Punch Exception form.

Make correction on e-Time if appropriate, such as entering vacation hours (Scheduled PTO) time, unexcused absence (Unscheduled PTO). Monitor and track associate’s attendance and if necessary, provide warnings according to attendance policy. Review and approve e-Time every two weeks for payroll for all 3rd shift personnel.

Work directly with QA technicians and Leads to make sure all CCP’s are being met.

Conduct Monthly GMP Audit per Quality GMP Audit schedule.

Assist in quarterly cycle counts using JD Edwards and DSI systems.

Correct any Work Order discrepancies in E-1 that affects the Work Order such as Lot Number Changes, and wrong certification amounts.

Write Pass-down Summarize for the prior day and Publish Daily Pass-down.

Report to Operations Manager any operational issues in a timely manner.

Support other Supervisors on closing Work Orders when they are on vacation.

Support the interviewing process when hiring new employees.

Identify and improve waste streams of electricity, compressed air, and natural gas.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Traits:

Understanding of JD Edwards program, and Safety/GMP requirements,

Understand the Fundamentals of Leadership, HACCP Qualified, Good Computer Skills. Navigate and ADP eTime requirements.
