Ideal candidates will have:Experience supporting high level management

The ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced, highly visible office

A proven track record of exercising sound judgment and a common sense approach to addressing challenging customer service situations

Highly effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create effective written reports

Advanced prioritization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently

Strong computer skills; including experience with Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word

Experience remediating documents for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) complianceAs a County of Sonoma Administrative Assistant, you will support professional staff and management with a variety of clerical and administrative duties, and may oversee the work of other clerical staff. As you gain knowledge of Permit Sonoma's organization, programs, services, and objectives, you will begin to help plan, evaluate, and coordinate activities within the department as well as coordinate those internal activities with other agencies, departments, and the general public. Additionally, you will:Answer phone lines

Schedule meetings and maintain calendars

Create and update documents, and remediate them for ADA compliance

Generate data reports and public notices

Assist in the preparation of Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission agenda itemsWhat We Offer
