Maintenance Technician

AWI Management Corp. is seeking an experienced individual to maintain a 26-unit apartment community in Point Arena, CA. The manager position is also unfilled so teams are welcome to apply. Experience in general building maintenance and landscape is preferred. There is an apartment available.

The position is full time, 40 hours per week.

This position pays $16.00-$18.00/hour.

Requirements:

-Valid CA Drivers License

-Reliable Transportation

-Authorized to work in the United States

Qualifications:

-Good communication skills

-Computer literate (Word, Excel, MSOutlook)

-Ability to positively interact with the general public, tenants, vendors, and corporate staff

-Strong organizational skills

-Ability to follow written instructions

-Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines

-Experience with subsidized housing (HUD, Tax Credit, or RD) helpful

-General building maintenance skills (painting, cleaning, plumbing, electrical, carpentry)

-General grounds keeping skills

-Ability to manage emergency situations

Responsibilities:

-Maintain good public relations with residents and vendors

-Assist with annual apartment inspections identifying action items

-Report violations of lease and house rules

-Timely completion of maintenance request work orders; ensure tenant’s maintenance needs are being met

-Work with manager to schedule vendors and order necessary supplies

-Perform preventative maintenance duties

-Maintaining excellent curb appeal

-Follow policy and procedures
