The Contra Costa County Department of Information Technology is recruiting to fill one (1) Geographic Information Systems Manager position.

The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) is in the process of rebuilding and rebranding. We have an amazing Team that is dedicated to our customers and the community. DoIT is also in the process of expanding our team, portfolio of services, and technology options to meet evolving business needs. We are seeking candidates who are just as passionate as we are in making a difference every day with technology.

What you will typically be responsible for:
  • Managing and growing the GIS footprint in the county
  • Generating revenue
  • Building and maintaining relationships with other Departments, Counites, Cities, etc.
  • Managing and developing staff
  • Rebuilding the GIS internship program
  • Working to transition GIS services to the cloud

Desirable Qualifications:
  • In depth knowledge of ESRI Products
  • Experience with Cloud Solutions like Azure/AWS in partnership with ESRI
  • Local Government experience
  • Experience with working at the Regional level with GIS professionals
  • Experience with Data Analytics tools
  • 3-5 years’ experience managing a GIS Team
