We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Housekeeper & Manager. This role encompasses a variety of tasks similar to a stay-at-home house spouse; including cleaning, errands and planning tasks. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing household operations with minimal supervision, while open to asking questions and receiving feedback.

Meal Preparation & Shopping

Regular preparation of healthy dinner meals a few times a week.

Weekly grocery shopping to ensure the house is well-stocked with staple items like fruit and milk.

Organization and Tidying

Identify and address areas of clutter or disorganization in the home.

Collaborate with the household to develop and implement organizational systems.

Shop for and acquire necessary organizational tools and supplies.

Label containers and maintain organized systems throughout the home.

Ensure that organizational systems are practical, sustainable, and tailored to the family's needs.

Regularly review and update organizational systems to maintain efficiency and order.

Ask questions and make recommendations when something doesn’t have a place to go.

Outdoor Maintenance

Cleaning and covering/uncovering outdoor furniture.

Picking fruit and flowers from garden.

Hot tub maintenance- weekly testing and adjusting chemicals, monthly/quarterly filter cleaning/replacing.

Switching out insect traps.

Errands & Logistics

Running errands, including dry cleaning, returns, donations and taking the car for repairs.

Finding solutions and coordinating with external service providers when necessary.

Event & Hosting Preparation

Assisting with the preparation for events and hosting duties, including preparing appetizers, arranging food and cleaning upon the next working day the next day.

Decorating for different holidays/seasons with the household. working closely with Hollee.

Household Cleaning

Cleaning windows, regular sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, wiping down surfaces, and general tidying, indoors and outdoors.

Towels, sheets, changing beds, washing sheets.

Restocking towels, linens, cleaning supplies.

Cleaning bathrooms.

Empty garbage, cut down recycling,

Ironing

Daily dishes, unpacking packages, putting away household items

Watering plants.

Identifying out of place items and putting them back in all rooms.

Qualifications:

At least 8+ years of experience in a similar role.

A college degree is preferred.

Strong English skills are required; Spanish is helpful.

Demonstrable understanding of how to use a computer to review and update Google Docs and lists of tasks online, email,

Proven experience in a similar role or as a professional stay-at-home house person with extensive household management duties.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

High level of discretion, honesty, and reliability.

Ability to track and follow directions accurately.

Proactive approach and problem-solving skills.

Comfortable with a flexible schedule and varying daily tasks.

A car is required for this job.

Top notch housekeeping and household management skills, attention to detail, highly organized, takes initiative. Comfortable in the kitchen. Must be OK in a home with cats.
