Experienced Medical/Healthcare Front Office

Job Description

Front desk coordinators typical day will include greeting incoming patients, scheduling/checking in patients, collecting payments, confirming appointments and maintaining a clean work environment at all times. Coordinator also performs various clerical and secretarial duties including answering phone calls, processing information requests, assisting in the preparation of medical information release, updating patient files, filing patient histories. Attention to detail is a must. This position requires adherence to strict confidentiality guidelines.

Will need to be experienced in handling a wide range of scheduling and organizational tasks, and needs to be able to work independently with little or no supervision. This person must be exceedingly well organized, have exceptional attention to detail, be flexible and enjoy the challenges of scheduling.

Answer phones and guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns.

Schedule patients for exams, and input/update patient information in our medical system.

Perform insurance verifications and authorizations.

Participate in various projects and/or meetings, and complete other tasks as assigned by management.

The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, computer-savvy self-starter. Familiarity with medical terminology and experience working in a busy medical facility is required.
