Cashier/Server Position at Yoga-urt (Frozen Yogurt Store)

Yoga-urt is looking for passionate, hard-working, responsible, and kind people to join our team. We are the only all organic & vegan frozen yogurt store in Los Angeles and Santa Monica is our 3rd location.

The server/cashier is in charge of the register and serving food/drinks to our guests. This position is the face of the company, takes and prepares orders, makes smoothies/sauces/waffle cones & more, processes payments, and keeps the store clean.

3 - 5 shifts per week - Seeking Full-time and Part-time Team Members - Need to be able to work weekend and night shifts.

Must be 18 or older.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival. Ask guest if they have been here before or if they are a first time guests. Explain the menu when appropriate. Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.

- Receive payment by credit cards. Issue receipts to customers.

- Prepare soft serve/smoothies/coffee/tea. Make waffle cones, sauces, and more as needed.

- Process guest orders and insure guest satisfaction.

- In charge of keeping areas neat and tidy throughout the shop. This may include clearing tables, sweeping, wiping down counters, mopping floors, throwing out the trash, cleaning soft serve machines, etc.

- Stocks all stations accurately and efficiently. In a timely manner, tells store manager when we are low on supplies.

- Take inventory as needed.

- Set music and lighting to proper level.

- Answer the phone using the Yoga-urt greeting.

- Clean and set up seating area, patio and front of store/porch at the beginning and end of each shift.

- Part-time and Full-time positions available.

Qualifications:

- No previous restaurant experience required, but preferred.

- 18 & Older.

- Must be available for some opening shifts and some closing shifts.

- Be able to communicate clearly the business mission, vision, and values.

- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).

- Customer service skills since you will be speaking directly to the customer. Good listening skills, speaking and communicating calmly, effectively, and in a friendly manner.

- Basic math skills as you will be handling money from customers and taking stock of supplies.
