Project Controls Support Specialist – Data Center Construction

As a result, our people get to enjoy working on some of the most exciting projects in the world.Job DescriptionTurner & Townsend are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Controls Support Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive cost management support, ensuring data accuracy, and streamlining financial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project controls, financial analysis, and experience working with project management software such as Procore, Unifier, eBuilder, and related platforms. Responsibilities:
Review and analyze Potential Change Orders (PCOs) and Owner Change Orders (OCOs) submitted by vendors for approval.
Compile and submit OCOs from Procore/Unifier to the contracts and legal teams for thorough review.
Assess and review vendor cashflow submittals for accuracy and alignment.
Process and submit OCOs for approvals and signatures using designated tools.
Support the administration of contracts and purchase orders, including submissions and modifications.
Update project management platforms (e.g., eBuilder, Unifier) to reflect budget creation and adjustments.
Perform data accuracy checks and quality assurance/quality control (QAQC) across platforms such as eBuilder, Procore, Textura, etc.
Develop and implement a monthly report for EOR (End of Report) support for program level projects.
Participate in weekly program synchronization meetings and contribute to the creation of weekly notes, ensuring they are updated by the prior Thursday.
Include the status of assigned program activities in weekly notes and identify potential opportunities and challenges.
Review submissions within client’s contract software for budget alignment and coding requirements, and provide approvals as needed.
Maintain and update the Cost Tracker for project budget tracking.
Analyze incoming financial data and identify trends related to departmental spending.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to gain insights into spending needs and cashflow management throughout the fiscal year.
Regularly provide updates to Program Managers, project controls analysts, and regional project controls managers, both weekly and monthly.
Prepare month-end reports for SP&A (Strategic Planning & Analysis).
Assist in training initiatives as necessary.
Perform ad-hoc financial analyses as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in project controls, financial analysis, or a similar role.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Unifier, eBuilder, Textura, etc.)
Strong understanding of cost management and financial reporting practices.
Skilled in data accuracy and QAQC processes.
Familiarity with contract management software.
Ability to analyze complex financial data and present insights effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proactive problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
Ability to travel as needed for site visits and meetings.
Capable of participating in regular cadenced meetings and maintaining consistent performance reporting.
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
Experience in a tech-focused or large-scale construction environment.
Additional InformationThe salary range for this full-time role is $120K-$155K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.
