In this vital role you will focus on key strategic projects in support of the development of core marketing capabilities at Amgen Inc that support the Marketing Capabilities Team within the GMAC (Global Marketing and Access Capabilities) organization. This position partners with marketing leaders, local Leadership Teams, and cross functional business partners to support marketing talent and build strong brands.Amgen Inc. recognizes the critical role marketers play in the ability of our brands to deliver outsized impact in the market. As such, we are on a long-term journey to invest in and advance the role of marketing and marketers across Amgen Inc. This role will report to the Director of Marketing Capabilities and will play a critical role in building marketing capabilities across our brands and markets.Key Responsibilities:Brand Foundations: Build, pressure test, rollout our new approach to Brand Building at Amgen, including establishing positioning, identity, and brand briefs across brands

Brand Growth Approach: Work to define Amgen’s unique approach to growing strong brands, and embed it into the organization including adoption and rollout as a part of our global brand planning framework

Establish marketing KPI’s to derive insight from our brand building approach and optimize

Brand Planning: Act as lead of our global brand planning framework, timeline and ways of working to achieve business targets, in collaboration with our global, regional and local market teams. Drive alignment, consistency and impact throughout the global brand planning process.

Continuously seek to identify best practices, both internal and external

Act as a beacon of best practice and change for our marketing organization

The strategic professional we seek is a collaborative partner with these qualifications.Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organizationOrMaster’s degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organizationOrBachelor’s degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organizationOrAssociate’s Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organizationOrHigh school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organizationPreferred Qualifications:Strong marketing acumen with experience building and growing brands

Strategic thinker with the ability to challenge norms to drive brand building excellence

Ability to influence without authority across markets, functions and levels across a global organization

Stellar verbal and written communication skills. A storyteller, facilitator, and change agent.

Strong ability to drive change and adoption – both with individual marketers and the leadership team required to support the needed change

Track record to manage and deliver on projects to drive business results
