Job Description Our client is seeking a Senior Product Designer for a 100% remote contract position. The company is based out of San Diego, and they are seeking someone with a minimum of 5 years of experience. This role is perfect for someone with experience leading and mentoring junior designers or ready to take on that responsibility. By working in close collaboration with customers, our client can help enhance outcomes, lower costs, increase efficiencies, improve safety and expand access to health care. You will direct the research, report outcomes to members of your agile team, and collaborate with the product owner, quality, regulatory, software engineering, UX designer and fellow UXD team members. You handle with ease multiple research and project workstreams while being able to deliver on-time with the highest quality. You perform tasks independently while mentoring and organizing junior researcher(s). You can clearly articulate the research goals, KPIs, metrics and objectives. You understand the needs and pains of the enterprise system of users, which may be comprised of pharmacists (clinical and informatics,) nurses of varying levels, and internal global customer service representatives. Contract Duration: Rolling Contract (Long Term) Required Skills & Experience

  • Mac proficient or PC proficient with demonstrated efficiency in the following applications: Adobe Acrobat, Miro (remote whiteboarding), Microsoft Office 365 Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook, OneDrive, SAP.
  • Service design (blueprinting), Journey mapping, User needs analysis, Concept reviews, Ethnography, Card sorting, Interview transcription,?Participant?screening?and recruitment, Creating testing plans, materials and reports, Validation testing (non-regulated).
  • Idea leader - be able to develop unique conceptual ideas/thinking without the need for input from others. Ability to conduct large scale workshops, user interviews, moderate studies (of at least 5 users per study), usability testing (remote and in-person) and creating report outs from usability and validation tests.
  • Collaborative - Create trust and gain respect from the TPM and Development leads. Use concise and strong communication, do not speak in circles. You are open-minded and stay curious about the possibilities.
  • Confident - be able to communicate the reason and thinking behind how and when to apply the right research method, human factors and ergonomic functions. Knowledge of how to take a hazard analysis and user needs documents to determine what type of testing/tasks are needed. Act decisively and independently, knowing when to ask for help, and when to be your own critic.
  • Problem solver - be able to provide multiple, differentiated solutions to a single problem. Ability to flex when ideas are challenged. Shows initiative and demonstrates responsible behavior.
  • Partner - proven success partnering with team members to deliver high-quality, on-time deliverables with evolving requirements within short-timeframes. Maintain a 'we, not I' mentality when things get tough. Adaptable and demonstrates accountability.
