Engineering Technician

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in the South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

The Engineering Technician will be responsible for monitoring contract compliance of contractors in the completion of construction work and project schedule on behalf of the facility owner for multiple projects, and reports on key issues to the management team.

The work of assignment will be in Guantanamo Bay Cuba.

Key responsibilities:

Assists engineers with various duties, such as building prototypes, setting up test equipment, preparing documentation, updating CADD/CAM files, maintaining technical drawings and specifications, and conducting general troubleshooting of systems and equipment

Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Qualifications To be successful in the role:

Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years of experience or associate degree plus five (5) years of experience in an engineering discipline. Must provide a copy of the diploma or college transcripts

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications

Strong communications skills in English both written and oral

Must be US Citizen.
