English Middle/High School Tutor

We have been an after school enrichment provider for students over 10 years. We are currently seeking for responsible, compassionate, qualified and dedicated English instructors to join our team. They must be motivated, and driven to teach students. Instructors must have the ability to break down a complex problem into a simple explanation. Our instructors take the time to understand the student’s learning style, and come up with strategies and techniques to match with their needs. All materials are provided, however own materials can be added if applicable. Please DO NOT apply if you are unable to commit for at least minimum of a full semester ( 3 months). Due to COVID-19, all classes are remote.

Position Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree or higher is required (or anticipated date)

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· At least one year of teaching experience preferred

· Solid knowledge in teaching and reviewing all content related to specific subjects

· Excellent classroom management skills

· Strong passion for the education industry

· Must provide previous education transcript

· Provide two work references

· In-person interview required

· Reliable transportation for commuting

Responsibilities:

· Provide comprehensive tutoring for students in one-on-one or small classroom setting

· Creates lesson plans and quizzes according to curriculum

· Assist students with homework and projects from school

· Provide extra practice for students who need extra practice on their lessons

· Effectively manage a class of 6 to 8 students and oversee general behavior and conduct

· Track and analyze student progress

· Maintain communication with students and the administrative team
