Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Manager Certified Software Utilities & Tools (Virtual) to join the Enterprise Software Products and Capabilities (ESPC), Utilities and Tools Team located in Long Beach, CA. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Engineering Test & Technology (ET&T) business organization.As part of Boeing’s Enterprise Software Products and Capabilities organization, our engineers develop and deliver software capability to the entire Boeing Enterprise including the Operating System, Infrastructure and hosted application software for current and future platforms. This position will provide software engineering management and leadership over the certification and convergence of products across the ESPC Utility Product Line Families. The ESPC Utilities Product Line team is responsible for the architecture, development, deployment and certification of cloud-based software applications used in development and verification of all of the certified utilities tied to our on-product embedded software development.Over the course of the next year, this position will look to strategically identify and align all certified tooling across the Boeing enterprise to drive commonality for our certified tooling. This position will also be required to support the current daily, weekly and monthly commitments across all of the supported products. This includes working with global partners in Australia, India, and South Korea.Position Responsibilities:

Manages employees and mid-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Software Engineering

Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives

Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical degree

7+ years of experience in software development

5+ years of experience in a leadership position

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

5+ years of experience cloud native and/or microservices architecture software applications

Prior experience with DO-330 qualification of software applications

Experience with developing and debugging in Python, Java, C/C or equivalent programming languages
