Boeing's Human Resources function is currently seeking a Mid-Level Human Resources (HR) Generalist - Preparedness Specialist to act as the regional Lead on the HR Preparedness (HRP) team within Total Rewards Delivery. HRP is part of Boeing's overall Business Continuity network and supports preparedness and response efforts and leads people recovery during disruptive events impacting employees and their families.

You will learn to identify at risk populations and the best ways to make meaningful contact with them while utilizing a network of functions from across the enterprise. HRP is part of the overall Business Continuity network and supports preparedness and response efforts and leads people recovery.

Our HRP efforts during emergency events, including employee outreach and care, are to ensure the wellbeing of employees during critical moments that matter. This is an exciting opportunity to join a newer HR process that provides direct support, resources and exceptional employee experiences to those being disrupted by natural or man-made events across the United States.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Support events and employees in assigned region during disruptions
  • Provide standard HR resources during events, and serve as the HR integrator during large-scale, regional events
  • Activate the People Response Team (PRT) and facilitate PRT meetings
  • Attend Area Coordination Team (ACT) meetings and communicate updates regarding HR's response
  • Track metrics during events and provide daily updates to HR Leadership
  • Lead employee accountability outreach and wellness actions
  • Conduct AAR and communicate up concerns, issues and gaps for improvement
  • Support other surge activities across HR that deal with disruptive events (COVID)
  • Provide support outside of normal working hours

This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in Renton, Washington.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience communicating and implementing HR programs, policies, practices and processes
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel, Tableau, and other Data Analytics tools
  • 3+ years of experience in a role utilizing business acumen and understanding
  • 3+ years of experience in influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders across functions
  • 3+ years of experience executing strategies and managing projects that promote a culture of superior customer service and exceptional employee engagement
  • Willing to work variable shifts; including days, evenings, nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Human Resources certification
  • 1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
  • Experience in a role that require meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience collaborating across organizational boundaries to deliver an integrated final product
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, high-impact communication style
  • Demonstrated experience working and excelling in a fast-paced, variable environment

Typical Education & Experience: Typically 6 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Summary pay range: $60,480 - $112,320
