.Net Architect/Lead

Role: .Net Architect/Lead Location: Irvine, CA Type: Contract Duration: Long term Required: C#, ASP.Net, MVC, WebAPI, Microservices, Monolithic applications. Who We're Looking For: A a principal engineer, who can break the existing monolith to design and code a reference implmentation based on microservice and micro frontends. You build an omnichannel experience for our digital eCommerce business and make us cloud-ready without impacting the current business. A battle-tested, yet personable principal engineer who can confidently contribute to our mission of redefining the eCommerce experience for resellers and vendors. You are comfortable proposing system architectures, and getting alignment from engineers around you while discussing the tradeoffs. You feel comfortable steering code/design/architecture review discussions ensuring that opinions are heard, but a decision is made. You can solve the hard problems on your own, but enjoy mentoring other engineers just as much. We seek a motivated, self-starter who can buckle-down and deliver as an individual contributor as well as provide technical direction for a growing team. Minimum Requirements 15+ years of engineering experience. Hands-on coding experience with legacy and modern .Net Tech Stack. MS SQL and One of the no-SQL like MySQL or Mango DB Experience building scalable software platforms for large-sized engineering organizations. What You'll Be Responsible For Achieving: Building highly performant APIs, services and single-page applications Designing and steering software architecture discussions and decisions Defining and modeling behavior expectations balancing optimism, collaboration and technical leadership Leading our evolving development and testing standards and best practices Multiplying the force of our product engineering by developing common foundational systems that are incorporated into all of our products What Will Make You Successful: Ability to deliver full-stack features in a modern, web-based application(s) Experience designing REST & Graphql APIs Experience designing and developing Micro Services Experience architecting and supporting Javascript single-page applications Expertise with modern developer workflows and toolchains (Git, CI/CD, Webpack, Babel) Extensive knowledge of testing best practices at all layers Extensive knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming concepts and design patterns Experience designing and managing complex relational database structures Experience working on an established product with real users Your philosophy aligns with Agile methodologies and processes Confidence pairing with other engineers of all levels What Will Make You Stand Out: Significant experience building APIs and services with .Net Core A strong passion to write code with great quality and test coverage. Experience breaking monolith app to microservice micro frontends architectures Experience with TIBCO, SAP, Mainframe, and Elastic Experience with 2 or more additional core technologies (Angular / React/) Containerization and cloud orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes, etc) A reputation for superb communication skills with other engineers and teammates Bonus points for Experience with eCommerce Azure cloud experience Production Experience with modern engineering and cloud tools Having previously guided the transition of an organization from monolith-based development to microservices-based development Knowledge of Mainframe.
