Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Plastics Manufacture in the City of Ontario is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk that is good at multitasking for fast paced working environment.

Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Reports To: Purchasing Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Department: Shipping Department

Summary: Helps to manage shipping and receiving material and products by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ensures the shipping of boxes, small packages and pallets.

Sweeps grounds outside the warehouse.

Loads and unloads trucks.

Maintains inventory and weighs scrap material.

Ensures all material from vendors is received.

Performs material handling.

Performs delivery and pick up.

Performs inventory of finished products.

Ensures box and packaging supply for warehouse inventory.

Maintains warehouse inventory.

Assists manufacturing.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office; inventory software; MAS 90 or MAS200; UPS Worldship and FedEx software.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver's license and clean driving record
